The Blaze Basketball Club Annual Presentation Night will take place in the Mount Errigal Hotel on Friday 3rd May 2013. The Presentation night is for all ages involved in the club. The night will start with dinner followed by the presentation of awards and then those that are up for it will take to the dance floor. Tickets are €12.. Tickets cannot be bought at the door this year. Last day for buying tickets is this Saturday, 27th April. What is considered as the main event of the season by many of the player in the club, is a night not to be missed.. GET YOUR TICKETS!!

Training this weekend will take place in the Aura Leisure centre at the following time:

Friday 21st: 6-7pm U-12 girls & U-14 Girls…..7-8pm U-12 boys & u-14 boys…8-10pm U-16 boys, U-19 boys & u-16 girls (Karen’s group)

Saturday 22nd: 10-11am U-8s (the usual 9.15 & 10am groups)….11-12noon U-10 boys & U-10 girls…

1st games of the season

This weekend will see some of our teams play their 1st games of the season..

Saturday 8/11/11 will see the U-14 and U-18 girls travel to play Magherafelt..

Sunday 9/11/11 (home games in Loreto convent): U-16 Boys v Carrickmacross @ 11.00, U-18 Boys v Carrickmacross @ 12.30 and U-16 girls V Omagh Thunder @ 2.00

Sunday 9/11/11 (home games in Aura Leisure Centre): U-14 Boys v Donagh @ 12.00, U-12 Boys V Donagh @ 1.15..

Training for the 2011-2012 season to start this week

Basketball training for the new season will start this weekend in the Loreto Convent Gym at the times listed below. Any players already registered will be notified by text. Any groups not listed below will commence training next week:

Friday 2nd September, 6pm – 7.30 pm U-14 Girls

Saturday 3rd September, 9.30am – 10.30am: U-8′s mixed group

11am – 12 noon: U-10′s mixed group

12.15pm - 1.30pm: U-12 Girls

1.30pm – 3pm: U-12 Boys

3pm – 4.30pm: U-16 Boys

4.30pm – 6pm: U-14 Boys

6pm – 8pm: U-19 Boys

Sunday 4th September, 9am – 10.30am U-19 Girls.

Thursday 8th September, 8.30pm – 10pm: U-16 Girls

There are limited places left in each group. In order to finalize groups and register players for competition membership will not be accepted after this Saturday.

Anyone interested in playing senior ladies basketball for the coming season should attend training in the Loreto Gym this Thursday 1st September from 8.30pm to 10pm.

Summer Camp 2011

Blaze Basketball Club will be holding its annual summer camp from Monday, 15th August 2011 to Friday, 19th August 2011. The Morning Camp, which will cater for players born 2001 to 2005, will be held in the Loreto Convent Gym from 10am to 1pm. The Afternoon Camp, which will cater for players born 1998 to 2000, will be held in Aura Leisure Centre from 2pm to 5pm. The Evening Camp, which will cater for players born 1993 to 1997, will be held in Aura Leisure Centre from 6pm to 9pm. The cost for the 5 day camp is €50.
