The 2nd quarter saw a line change for Blaze. Blaze continued to dominate defensively holding Omagh to only three points for the quarter. Meanwhile, Carla Bourne was impressive in her mid range shot scoring two nice baskets and Claire Sharkey also scored twice. Kate Kenny and Kim Clarke were strong on the offensive boards but were unlucky not to score. The half ended with a superb fact break which saw the Blaze girls rebound in their own half and with 6 seconds left on the clock , the ball was outlet to Carla bourne who passed it to Catherine Boyle who was full of running and she made the basket with 1 second of the half to go.score.
The 3rd quarter was a more even affair. Omagh began to find their range on their home court and converter 9 points for the quarter with E Mc Grory scorring 7 of them . however Balze were still fighting with Baskets fromn Carla bourne and then as the quarter was nearing an end Catherine boyle got her running shoes on again and with the help of some good defense and outlet passes from Eimear Gormley, Charloote Kiernan and Bronwyn Gillespie she scored four fast break baskets.The quarter finished 29 – 18 to Blaze.

During the final quarter good work from Aoife Curran, Seafra Gallagher and Aoife Mc Collum saw blaze maintain and build on their lead. Omagh began to hit long range shots but it was to little to late for the home team. Blaze ran out comfortable winners 45 – 29.

The Blaze uner 19 girls face Carrickmacross in the Loreto Convent gym on Sunday and will be hoping to avenge an early season defeat away to the Monaghan team. All supporters welcome.
