Stay tuned!

We are delighted that indoor sports will be allowed to return in the coming weeks. The club committee are working hard in the background to welcome all our members back very soon.

Further details will follow soon regarding registration and training times etc. Please be patient with us as we get everything in order as we want a safe and happy return to play.

Our AGM takes place on Wednesday 29th September at 7pm in the Silver Tassie Hotel. We would be so grateful if there is anyone who can offer the club some time helping with coaching/assistant coaching/administration. Maria Kealy and Shannon Cunningham on Ireland u18 Women’s Team

Congratulations to Maria Kealy and Shannon Cunningham who have been selected as part of the 12 person squad who will compete in the FIBA European Challengers in the Czech Republic. This is a very well deserved achievement for the girls as they were both very committed and eager to continue developing their basketball skills even over the months of lockdown. Shannon and Maria began playing basketball with Blaze Basketball as part of the u8 group. They are always very dedicated to their training and even give of their time and skills to junior coach the younger members of our club. What great role models to have!

The girls traveled to Czech Republic with the squad on Sunday 25th July. They have a very busy schedule of games ahead of them. They play their first game on Tuesday 27th July at 3.30 against Lithuania. They play their second game on Wednesday 28th July at 12.30 against Turkey. They play their third game on Thursday 29th July at 18.30 against the host country Czech Republic. They play their next game on Saturday 31st July at 3.30pm against Serbia.
