We have started reaching out to those currently on the waiting list for some groups. The U12 Boys, U14 Boys, U14 Girls, U16 Boys and U16 Girls groups are already full and we cannot accept any more registrations. In the event that the waiting list is cleared for some groups, we will post an update here to let you know. We appreciate your patience at this time.

Training is to commence on September the 17th, which I’m sure we are all looking forward to!!n our website and social media pages for updates.

Nearly there!

We are in the process of setting up coaches, training times etc. for our new season beginning in September 2022.

We will post updates on registration on our social media platforms.

Thank you for your patience and support!

A big thank you to all our members and travelling teams who have been so patient over the past few months adhering to all our Covid protocols. We hope players, coaches and their families remain safe and well.

We are delighted that our Covid restrictions have been lifted and we welcome spectators to our games. We encourage the use of the hand sanitisers on entry and exit from the hall. A reminder also that staggered training times will remain in place.

Game Day protocols

We are delighted that the NWAB & BNI competitive leagues will be back in action in next few days and weeks.

However, we must respect the higher risk associated with indoor activities such as basketball.
Considering the indoor space in the Loreto Sports Hall home games from here to Christmas will be held behind closed doors – NO SPECTATORS ALLOWED.

We fully understand that parents / guardians and other family members will be disappointed with this decision.
However, we want to ensure that when the club starts its competitive season that we all try our utmost to keep it going and avoid adding to the current spike in case numbers.
Our focus must be on the players and what is necessary to ensure all teams can continue to train and play basketball safely.

We would like to inform you of the following match day protocols:

🏀

No spectators are allowed into the Loreto Hall on game days.

🏀

All persons should be aware of the symptoms of COVID.

🏀

No person should arrive at the Loreto Sports Hall if they suspect they may have or have symptoms of COVID.

🏀

The wearing of face coverings is required by coaches and by players immediately prior and after engaging in the game.

🏀

For Away Teams travelling to the Loreto – if more than one team is travelling together, the team that is not involved in the live game on court will be expected to remain seated on the opposite side of the court (from the team benches) and wear a mask until they prepare for their warmup /time to head home.

🏀

The one-way system will be in operation on Game Day to minimise the unnecessary interaction of participants.

🏀

The number of players in the changing rooms will be restricted to 6 – to be managed by arranging players in different pods.

🏀

Hand sanitisation is required on entry and exit from the Loreto Hall.

Thank you for your understanding and we hope that you all keep safe and healthy.

We are back!

It was great to see all the smiling faces and to hear the basketballs bouncing again in the Loreto Secondary School on Saturday 2nd October. There was a great buzz around the place!
