Game Day protocols

We are delighted that the NWAB & BNI competitive leagues will be back in action in next few days and weeks.

However, we must respect the higher risk associated with indoor activities such as basketball.
Considering the indoor space in the Loreto Sports Hall home games from here to Christmas will be held behind closed doors – NO SPECTATORS ALLOWED.

We fully understand that parents / guardians and other family members will be disappointed with this decision.
However, we want to ensure that when the club starts its competitive season that we all try our utmost to keep it going and avoid adding to the current spike in case numbers.
Our focus must be on the players and what is necessary to ensure all teams can continue to train and play basketball safely.

We would like to inform you of the following match day protocols:

πŸ€

No spectators are allowed into the Loreto Hall on game days.

πŸ€

All persons should be aware of the symptoms of COVID.

πŸ€

No person should arrive at the Loreto Sports Hall if they suspect they may have or have symptoms of COVID.

πŸ€

The wearing of face coverings is required by coaches and by players immediately prior and after engaging in the game.

πŸ€

For Away Teams travelling to the Loreto – if more than one team is travelling together, the team that is not involved in the live game on court will be expected to remain seated on the opposite side of the court (from the team benches) and wear a mask until they prepare for their warmup /time to head home.

πŸ€

The one-way system will be in operation on Game Day to minimise the unnecessary interaction of participants.

πŸ€

The number of players in the changing rooms will be restricted to 6 – to be managed by arranging players in different pods.

πŸ€

Hand sanitisation is required on entry and exit from the Loreto Hall.

Thank you for your understanding and we hope that you all keep safe and healthy.
